5 Tips For Protection Against Sexual Assault

domestic_violence.jpgTips to teach the women we love:

1. If you are attacked, always remember the elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do! It would be ideal if you carried a self defense weapon of some kind such as a stun guns, Mace Pepper Spray or a Taser C2. Know how to use these self defense products in advance.

2. If you are mugged and the robber asks for your purse, don’t hand it to him but throw it away from you. Then run like crazy in the other direction.  An ideal self defense weapon would be a Taser C2.  You can bring them to your knees with out even coming into contact with them.  Then run like crazy and get help.

3. Use your loudest voice to scream for help, but if there is no one around, scream “NO!” and hold your hand in a stop position as you are backing away.  Carrying a Personal Alarm is much louder than your voice and hurts the ears.

4. If someone should jump in your car and hold a gun to your head, do not drive off. Instead put your foot on the gas pedal and speed into something. The airbag will save you, and as quick as the car hits, jump out and run.

5. Be aware of your circumstances at all times. If you feel you are being followed, go to a public building and call 911. Do not take a chance.

Trust your gut and always carry with you some sort of self defense weapon.

As humans, we are all blessed with an inner voice that gives us warnings and promptings. If something or someone does not feel right, then leave the area as soon as possible. Do not try to argue with your institution.

Sexual Assault is not about Sex

Sexual assault is about power, control, anger and feelings of inadequacy on the part of the offender. It is acting out of these thought patterns which focuses on those weaker and more vulnerable, which puts others at risk. Men, women and children who have been forced into sexual situations which were not consensual or where there was an inequity of power, should feel no blame or shame. It behooves us as a community to offer support for victims and speedy criminal charges and incarceration for those who would violate our most vulnerable members

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, there were over 24 million crimes reported in the U.S. during 2003. Of those, almost 5.6 million were personal crimes, while 18.6 million were property crimes. Twenty-two out of every 1,000 American households were affected by crimes of violence and 163 out of every 1,000 households were affected by property crimes. With these kinds of statistics, it’s understandable that Americans are concerned with personal safety and the safety of their homes and businesses. The Michigan State Police offer these tips for personal safety:
1. Stay alert. Keep your mind on your surroundings, as well as who is in front of you and who is behind you. Carry a person safety products such as stun guns, Taser C2, mace pepper spray or a personal alarm at all times and trust no one.

2. Walk purposefully, stand tall, and make eye contact with people around you.

3. Trust your instincts. If you feel uncomfortable in a situation, leave.

4. While driving, keep your car in good repair with the gas tank at least half full.

5. Park in well-lit areas and always lock your doors. When you exit your car have your personal safety products ready .

6. Put valuables out of sight or in the trunk.

7. Drive with the doors locked and the windows up.

8. Check the floorboards and front and rear seats before getting in your car.

9. In an elevator, stand near the controls. If someone suspicious enters, get off the elevator. Always have your mace pepper spray, taser C2 or stun guns ready to fire.

10. At home, don’t give personal information over the telephone to people you don’t know.

11. Install a peephole in your front door, and don’t open the door to anyone you don’t know. Verify the identity of service people before allowing them in. Use a wireless home security system and a wireless home security alarm.
1.Do not hide house keys in mailboxes, planters, or under doormats. 2. Do not include personal identification on key rings. 3. Have a separate ignition key to leave with mechanics or parking attendants. 4. If you lose your house keys or move into a new house, have the locks re-keyed. 5. When going away, make sure your home looks occupied. Put interior lights on timers, arrange to have mail and newspaper delivery stopped, and close and lock your garage door. 6. Install and use good deadbolt locks on your doors; lock sliding glass doors or use a dowel in the door track. 7. Trim shrubbery hiding doors or windows and cut tree branches that could help a thief climb to second story windows. 8. Make sure all porches, entrances, and yards are well lit. When it comes to personal safety, many Americans are going a step further to ensure their own personal safety and the safety of their homes and offices. Car alarms, business alarms, and home alarms are important components of personal safety. Many people carry whistles on their key rings or in their pockets; when personal safety is at risk, blowing whistles can attract the attention of passersby, who can then call for help. Some people carry mace pepper spray in their pockets, briefcases or purses, while others carry concealed stun guns to the extent that the law allows. You might also consider a taser C2. Those who leave their children in the care of others often use baby cams or other video recorders and hidden cameras to ensure that the caregivers are acting appropriately.

How To Deter An Attacker

Women, men and children all use personal alarms. These alarms are often also called portable or handheld alarms. Such alarms are a deterrent for potential attackers and harmful individuals. The lights and sounds that are the main parts of functioning alarms are the reasons that most attackers are deterred. Every alarm has a different sound, but handheld alarms usually have the loudest and most noticeable sound. They often have high pitched and annoying sounds that anyone will take notice of and hear. These alarms are all important elements in personal security and safety.

Alarms are most often used my women. Most women carry a personal alarm instead of a weapon. They are used for self defense and to enhance personal security. Personal security is an important aspect of life and self care that people need to pay attention to anywhere, whether in cities or rural areas. Handheld portable alarms are a great tool for women, men, and children of all ages. These alarms can be carried in a purse or pocket, or even on a key chain. In cities some people may choose to carry a key chain alarm or a small alarm in their handbag or pocket. In rural areas the same alarms are carried for safety reasons.

Criminals and potential attackers do not like when a person is carrying a personal alarm. Alarms mean that a person will not go quietly. People with alarms are loud; they make a scene and try to get noticed.

The best personal alarms have loud sounds and bright lights. The sounds are often high pitched and can hurt a potential attacker’s ears. On the other hand, the lights are usually bright and are made specifically to temporarily blind an attacker.

Handheld alarms can be purchased on the Internet and in local stores. However, the internet may have a larger selection than some stores. Internet stores are a great place to purchase any type of personal security equipment.

Portable alarms are often carried as a secondary safety precaution. Most people who carry these alarms also count on a form of self defense. The two most common types of self defense are physical self defense and weapons.

Self defense comes in many forms. Some people are trained in martial arts, while other people are trained in simple self defense moves. These moves will immobilize a potential attacker.

The Personal Alarm

girl.jpgBy carrying a personal alarm on oneself an attack can be deterred in the first few seconds by activating their personal alarm and emitting an ear-piercing siren that can cause an attacker to turn and flee or at least cause enough of a distraction to make the attacker think twice.

The last thing an attacker wants is to attract attention and that’s the very job that personal alarms are designed to do. Its no coincidence that hill walkers and mountaineers pack personal alarms in their safety / survival kits in the event they may get stranded or injured and lost on a mountainside and can be located via the shrieking siren from their personal alarms.

Many personal alarms are small and unobtrusive. They are designed to blend into everyday normal attire and have the look and feel of keyrings or watches. Some personal alarms not only emit loud sirens but also spray gas that can disable the attacker momentarily giving the victim time to escape.

By incorporating a personal alarm into you or your families everyday equipage is a positive step in thinking about personal safety. Attack alarms do not cost great amounts! They are very reasonably priced and manufacturers are continuously upgrading products to make them even more of a must-have buy for the safety conscious amongst us. Its not bold to say ‘Personal alarms can save your life’ it’s more fact than statement, nowadays.

Apartment Tips Fot Women

mailbox.jpgMailbox Area

This area is one of the most dangerous and you should always keep your guard up along with some kind of personal safety products such as mace pepper spray,  stun guns, a taser C2 or personal alarm. Criminals keep a close eye on mailbox sections of an apartment complex. Why? Because people are pretty predictable as to when they check their mail. Attackers like the fact that if they observe you for a few days, they can pretty much predict when you are going to check your mailbox. Usually people go to this section when they drive home from work. When you approach your mailbox, look around you. If there are a few people present, it is safer, but if you are the only one there, please be very cautious, especially at night. Always prepare your self defense product and have it in your hand and prepared to be used, prior to approaching the mailbox area.

Club House Area

Some complexes have club houses to rent them out for parties, but others have indoor recreational things such as pool and ping pong tables, pin ball machines, video games etc. Club houses can be very popular, especially on the weekends and in the evenings. Many times you will encounter people who are drinking alcoholic beverages that they brought from their apartment. It is always wise to go to club houses with a friend. Once in a while you will encounter a sore looser at a card game, for example, that can become violent and take it out on whomever is nearby. If you meet a new person, be careful on giving out your apartment number. Be aware also if someone is following you back to your apartment. If you are in fear of being followed, go to a friend’s apartment, if you know they are home. Always have your mace pepper spray or stun gun ready to spray or shoot.

Tennis Court or Pool Area

The tennis court is pretty safe because you usually are accompanied by a tennis partner. The pool area is also pretty safe since it is very open and everyone is in plain site. Even when you are alone, an attacker will avoid an area that many people can see easily. Just make sure that when you leave the pool area, you prepare your self defense product ahead of time, prior to walking back to your apartment. This is important, because, since you are in plain site, that also means that a potential attacker or stalker could have also been looking at you. Keep in mind, that if you are going to the pool on a regular basis, try to go at different times of the day. This will make your schedule less predictable. If you are alone, try NOT to go at night. Always have your self defense weapon ready for at any given time you need to be ready to shoot your taser C2, stun guns, or mace pepper spray.

Laundry Room Area

Here is another section of an apartment complex that is very dangerous. For one, it is noisy because of the machines. This noise can easily cover up someones scream or cry for help. For some reason, people feel they need to chat with whomever else is doing laundry. This can be a great tool for an assailant to get more information from you that you shouldn’t have given to him in the first place! Be careful what you tell a complete stranger. Even if he is the cutest guy, and my, so meticulous with his neatly folded laundry! Impressive right? NO! Potential attackers play a caring role to make you feel comfortable and therefore letting your guard down. Again in this situation make sure you have a self defense products readily available.

Trash Dump Area

This area is of much concern because most people dump their trash at night, after dinner. If you don’t want to wait until morning, please be very careful about this. If your trash dump area is dark, ask the apartment complex manager to install some kind of lighting around it. This may prove to be difficult but it is worth a try. You might want to consider asking a few female friends, that live there, to join in your request. Always take your self defense product with you and prepare it to be used. Always move cautiously toward the site and look around carefully as you approach. If you see someone that you do not recognize near it, maybe leaning against their car or smoking… Just turn around and go back home. You can always try later. It is better to be cautious than hurt or killed. If your trash is heavy, just set it down somewhere temporarily, where you can pick it up later. By carrying your self defense weapons you will be a target to be reckon with.

doll.gifChild sexual abuse is the deliberate exposure of minor children to sexual activity. This means a child is forced or talked into sex or sexual activities by another person. Such abuse includes touching (fondling), sexual intercourse, oral sex, pornography, and other sexual activity.

With the exception of sexual abuse among family members (incestuous relationships), child sexual abuse was not clearly described until the late 1970s….

Teaching your children early about the need for protection against sexual assault is vital in the age we live in.  Teaching the very young about the good touch bad touch and letting them know it is OK to tell of even fight back.  When your daughters become tweens and teenagers they need to be taught self defense tactics and even teaching them how to use a self defense products.  Self defense products are easy to use and non-lethal.  Prepare your daughter today no matter how young to defend herself and when old enough to carry a self defense weapon and be sure she understands how and when to use her self defense products.

What The Attacker Looks For!

krav_maga_gun.jpgYou don’t have to be a victim.
Believe it or not there are several things that women can do to be pro active in preventing sexual assaults and possibly rapes. Knowing how an attacker thinks can work to your advantage. Potential victims can learn from these facts and put a plan in place to be better prepared to fend off an assault. It is also better to be prepared with self defense products such as tear gas, mace pepper gel, stun guns, cell phone stun guns, a taser C2 or even a personal alarm would be better than nothing.

THE LOCATION.
The most common place for an assault is a grocery store parking lot. Attackers figure that a victim’ hands and minds are distracted and are easy prey. Knowing this can make you better prepared and more on guard to fend off an attacker. Have a self defense weapon ready in your hand.  It doesn’t do any good in your purse!

THE TIME.
The most common time for an attack is early morning. Think about it-there are less people around and thus less witnesses. Knowing this can put you on guard if you must be out and about in the early am. When your out running or even getting the mail or paper carry your self defense products with you.

THE LOOK.
It is a fact that women with long hair specifically ponytails or braids that can easily be grabbed are more likely targets than women with short hair. It is just a fact! Attackers also look for women wearing loose fitting clothing. Carry with you your self defense products.

THE FIGHT.
It is also a fact that if ANY resistance is in the offing, most attackers move on quickly. They are expecting little or no resistance. When they encounter resistance it takes more time which increase the chances of discovery.
So FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT.Spray spray spray your self defense weapon such as mace pepper spray, or tase them with your Tasere C2.  Bet they will think twice about doing it again.

THE CARRY.
How you carry yourself makes an impression. If your head is up and you walk confidently and quickly you are less likely a target than someone with their head down and walking slowly-just a fact.

WHAT YOU CARRY. If you carry a mace pepper spray, taser C2, or stun guns and know how to use it not only will it give you a better sense of confidence but will also give you time to escape if you need to use it.

Legal Or Not Protect Yourself

0709_taser_1.jpgIf you do decide to carry one of the less lethal weapons upon you, then you need to remember why you are carrying it. If you carry a taser C2 self defence weapon is the only reason it should be used, inappropriate use of even less lethal weapons can see the user facing very serious legal problems, possibly including imprisonment. Although the law is often quite forgiving when it comes to using less lethal weapons for self defence like the taser C2, it should be noted that the use of any self defense weapons can result in the victim of the weapon taking legal action upon the user.

By carrying a taser C2 self defense weapon it is non-lethal, a taser C2 works by emitting a high voltage electric charge which will temporarily incapacitate the target, as a less lethal self defense weapon a taser C2 makes a great choice for pure self defense purposes, the target will be unable to continue which their actions for a brief period of time, allowing the victim of their attack to make goof their escape.

If you carry a taser self defense products it becomes extremely discreet, a taser C2 can be disguised as a cell phone taser, an MP3 player or some other form of harmless looking device, meaning you can carry it openly without alerting any potential attackers to the fact that you are in position of a less lethal self defense weapon which will be used for your self defense. Some types of taser C2 are extremely small and can easily be concealed in the palm of the hand, meaning they can be carried ready for use should you feel yourself threatened but are unable to ascertain just where and when a possible attack will be coming from.  For this reason I encourage you to protect yourself with these self defense products.

Don’t Be A Victim

taser-defence.jpgIt is very important that we are invulnerable to rape. Rape can happen to anyone at any time. Rape prevention strategies help to decrease the risk, but the risk never drops to zero percent. Awareness prevention is also very important for potential assailants so that they know what constitutes rape.

Many victims of a rape face rape-trauma syndrome that means an acute reaction to a completed or attempted sexual assault. It describes possible responses to an assault, which vary with each individual. Rape victims are shocked and disbelieved; they face the fear that the others will think differently of them if they know they have been attacked. They blame themselves, and they feel the fear that no one will believe them. Being alone and nightmares are another symptoms of rape-trauma syndrome (Parrot, 1988).

Before this happens to you invest in Personal Safety Products.  Purchess several and keep them in your car, house, purse, backback and at home in several areas of your house.  Put a stun gun in your car along with a Mace Pepper Spray on you car keychain.  Have it ready to shoot when walking to your car. Or even better carry with you ready to shoot a TAser C2.  This little item is small easy to carry and will drop someone to the ground in a meatter of seconds.  Buy Self Defense PRoducts.  Carry a Self Defense Weapon today.

Preventing The Act Of Rape

108-rape-lg.jpgRape is a forced sexual intercourse against the will of the victim. Rape is a violent act, not a sexual act.Rape is something that needs to be addressed and protected against.  We as women have the right to carry Self Defense Weapons.  We have the right for protection against any kind of violence.  Carrying a TaserC2, Stun Guns , Mace Pepper Spray is a must in the violent world we live in. The myth that men who rape women are sexually pathological has begun to be dispelled and replaced with an understanding that rape is an act of anger, power and control rather than lust. You have the right to carry Self Defense Products.

Rape can happen to anyone. Women from different cultures, races, ages, and economic level are all vulnerable. So no matter who you are or where you live. Most rape, and specifically most acquaintance rape, happens between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five. This is the time when young women are most likely to date and therefore are most vulnerable to date rape. Acquaintance rape is not limited to dating situations. It may be committed by friends of the family, employers, friends, past boyfriends, and even husbands. The potential causes of rape are varied and controversial. Among the factors that contribute to rape are: decreased status of women within a society, pervasive media exposure of sex, availability of pornographic materials, especially those involving acts of violence. All the more reason to carry a Self Defense Weapon such as Stun Guns, a Taser C2, Mace Pepper Spray or any other means to defend yourself.
