Accidental Drowning Can Be Prevented By Installing A Pool Alarm
Author: family protector
Did you know that more than 300 children under the age of 15 die each year due to accidental drowning in swimming pools? This can all be prevented by installing an electronic monitoring system called a pool alarm.
This is how it works. The pool alarm is an electronic monitoring system that automatically sounds an alarm when a child or pet falls into the unsupervised pool or any motion in the surface of the water. This will cause the pool alarm to produce a loud pulsating sound inside your house via remote receiver and sound at pool side. Most pool alarms can’t be deactivated unless you put it in the sleep mode. The remote receiver is mounted in your home up to 200 feet from the main pool alarm that is attached to your pool.
The pool alarm uses a 12 volt power supply and the home receiver uses a 9-volt battery. Batteries should be replaced yearly. A low battery signal will sound when your battery needs to be replaced.
Why wouldn’t you want the life saving protection a pool alarm provides?

The effectiveness of bear repellent can depend on a number of factors, including wind direction and velocity, distance of predator, and chemical concentration if applicable. If a grizzly or dog shows up in your yard or campsite, you may not want to trust your ability to play possum!
If you are not comfortable with chemical animal repellents when dealing with a possible dog attack, there is an ultrasonic device available at Basic Safety Products with sights or sounds that will temporarily stun or blind an angry canine.
