Protecting Yourself From Rape

war1set1warwelcome.jpgOne of many self defense weapons for women is mace pepper spray which unfortunately is illegal in some states. Many of these same states allow for canine or bear deterrent spray which can be used. An alternative is hair spray, perfume or spray deodorant. It doesn’t work as well as mace pepper Spray but may buy you a few minutes to escape. Heck if you have a hot cup of coffee, use that.

Taser C2 or stun guns come in many different sizes and some are even disguised as cell phones or pagers. Some are small enough to fit on a key chain. Unfortunately they are illegal or restricted in many states. Our site has stun gun and pepper spray laws prominently visible. As well as any other state prohibited items. We are very strict about following local, state, federal and even international laws.

Personal alarms can draw attention to the situation, and they are loud. The last thing you need to be is quiet because that’s what an attacker wants. Draw attention to yourself, you can’t talk them out of it.
When going to your car (which should be locked) step back and look under it. Assailants have been known to hide not under cars but behind them or in an unlocked car. Be aware of your surroundings and have your keys in the ready position. Have a flashlight handy if it’s dark to be able to see in you car from a safe distance. This goes for walking to your home, have your keys in the ready position. Be safe protect yourself with self defense weapons.

If you are raped, there are counseling services available. RAINN.org has an online 24/7 help line that can direct you to the nearest crises center. Women who are raped tend to go through Post Traumatic Stress. Don’t feel embarrassed if you are a victim, you did nothing wrong; it’s not about sex, it’s a crime.

What Is Rape?

tasergirl.gifAs societies become more and more urban, the definition of rape according to the people has changed. But “rape is rape” as many researchers put it. Just because someone who is drunk or happens to be a prostitute, sleeping without asking for the consent of the other person is still Rape. Protecting yourselves with Self Defense Products is more important now than ever before.  Carrying Stun Guns, Mace Pepper Spray or a Taser is your only hope to defend yourself.  These Basic Safety Products are inexpensive and easy to use.

Many people around the country have changed the word rape with a freebie. If you are not able to say no to someone who is authoritative, and your own integrity is at stake that is still rape. It is not unheard of prostitutes sleeping with police officers to avoid traffic tickets, or other offences. Neither is it unheard of students having affairs with their professors. All of these situations where someone is forced or talked into having a sexual relationship falls under the category of rape.  Protecting yourself by not putting one’s self in that position is equally important. However this does not diminish the need for Self Defense Weapons.

So everybody needs too understand that such an act does not comply with where a woman comes from, and what her social and economic background is. What she was wearing, was she drunk or not?. All these factors remain the same for all the women. Just because a woman was not a virgin does not mean that her rape does not count. Several women in the country have gotten rape, but either they do not speak up thinking that they will be the ones blamed. But as a society we need to understand the value of a woman’s integrity. It is her choice to do whatever she wishes. But anything or anyone who takes advantage of her should be put on trial. Women should not be scared of taking the offenders to their right place. Young students should also be made aware of the growing percentage of rape in the country. It is a risk that everybody shares. So be careful, and if you know someone who has been a victim of such a crime tell them to report it, and not be scared of the consequences. Fight back!  Carry a Self Defense Weapon.  I personally like the Taser C2.  You can drop your assailant on the spot.  Other products such as Mace Pepper Spray, Personal Alarms and Stun Guns work well too.  Just be sure your not caught off guard.  Carry your Self Defense Weapon at all times.

How To Prevent Bear Attacks

simpsonsmovie2.jpgHow To Prevent Bear Attacks.
Here are some other ways to avoid a bear attack.

- Talk quietly or just don’t talk at all. The time for loud noises was before you encountered the bear. Try to detour around the bear if you can. Now would be a good time to arm yourself with bear spray, bear pepper spray or some kind of bear repellent.

- Don’t run! Try to back away slowly, but stop if this agitates the bear. Keep that bear repellent ready!

- Assume a non-threatening posture. This could mean turning sideways, or bending at the knees to appear smaller.

- Don’t look straight at the bear. Bears may interpret direct eye contact as threatening. Most definitely have the bear spray ready.

- Drop something, like a water bottle or hat, to distract the bear. Don’t drop food, however, or he may come to you looking for more. Leave your backpack on for protection in case of an attack.

-Please, have the bear repellent ready  If the bear attacks, use it!

- If the bear makes contact, fall to the ground on your stomach, or assume a fetal position to protect your chest and abdomen. Lace your fingers together over the back of your neck. Don’t move until you the bear has left.

justice-2.gifThat is what the news in my area is tonight. Thank God!  He raped countless women and terrorized the Spokane Washington city for a long time.  He server 25 years in prison but today the jury came back with a verdict of too dangerous to release to the public.  Justice finally.  That is what they should do to them all. Put them on an island for ever!  We as women have been the victim too long.  We need to use great care in how we live our life.  A simple purchase of a Self Defense Product like Pepper Spray, Mace Pepper Spray, Tear Gas, Stun Guns or a Taser C2 would make all the difference in the world in defending ourselves and giving the police the ability to arrest these perpetrators.  You see, when you use for instance a Taser C2 you put these idiots to the ground in a hurry.  They don’t move.  This allows the police to get to them before they hurt you or they are able to escape.  What right do they have to harm us?  You have the right to carry a self defense weapon.  Carrying a Mace Pepper Spray or Taser C2, Stun Guns  or some form of Self Defense Products.  Get one!  No excuse anymore for not having one.

Buy Child Safety Products

40896l-safety.jpgOnce your child becomes mobile, you start a whole new phase in the life of your home. Gone are the days of glass vases on the floor and piles of items such as craft supplies or tools lying around waiting to be put away. The fastest way to organization in the home is to bring a crawling baby or toddler into the picture. You need Child Safety Products.

The day that they crawl across the room or take their first step is the day you need to baby proof your home in every way, shape and form with Child Safety Products. It only takes walking into a room to find your child heading toward an open wall socket or picking up your favorite antique plate to send you into a panic to make instant changes in your home.

When you baby proof your home, you have to think about baby safety first and home safety second. By this I mean think about what can be harmful to your baby first and what your baby can harm second. Buy Baby Safety Products.

The obvious baby safety features you need to start with are wall socket covers, cupboard latches and baby gates. EVERY socket in your home needs to be covered with a safety plug. Even if they are in the most remote part of the home, cover them. Every cupboard that contains anything harmful to your child or contains things that you don’t want thrown all over the floor needs to have a safety latch. Keep one cupboard open and fill it with toys so that it can be your child’s cupboard and they can open it whenever they want to. Place baby gates at the bottom and top of steps. Close doors to bathrooms so that they can’t get into the tub or toilets. Buy Child Safety Products.

Crawl around on the floor at your child’s level and pick up anything that you don’t want your child to have. This includes any breakables as you can’t expect a curious child to not touch things and explore their surroundings. Anything smaller than a ½ dollar should be out of their reach to avoid having them put it in their mouth and choking. Photo albums and photos should be out of reach as well or they can become stained, ripped or chewed on. If it doesn’t have to be out then it is probably best to pack it away for now or at least put it up high out of their reach. Don’t wait protect your baby now with Child Safety Products.

purse-snatcher.jpg Read The  story below.  Do you think that there is a need for Self Defense Weapons?  What harm is it in voicing my opinion on carrying self defense products?  Believe me there are plenty of people out there who don’t think it is a good idea.  They think and operate on the assumption that over half the assaults are by people you know.  This is true except I bet if you asked the victims of these three crimes they would disagree.  I disagree too.  Carrying self defense products like Mace Pepper Spray, Stun Guns, and Tasers are the only way to go.  You have the right to carry Self Defense Products.  Carry a Taser it is legal to do so your not going to kill anyone and I bet that perpetrator would think twice before doing it again.  Carry Self Defense Weapons!

WSU, Pullman Police investigating three assaults
Posted: Oct 22, 2008 05:20 PM PDT

PULLMAN, Wash. - Police from Washington State University and the city of Pullman are currently investigating three assaults that happened on or near campus in the past week.

The most recent assault occurred in the parking garage of the Center for Undergraduate Education on Monday evening. A person was assaulted by a lone male who expressed bias against members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

It now appears that the other two assaults being investigated may have been motivated by similar bias.  An assault on a single victim occurred in the early morning hours of Oct. 16 behind Scott-Coman.  A single victim reported an assault by three people on Oct. 18 on College Hill within the jurisdiction of the city of Pullman.

Police do not know if the incidents are connected.

Anyone who has any information regarding the assaults is encouraged to contact the Washington State University Police Department at 335-8548 or 332-2521, or the Pullman Police Department at 334-0802.

Police suggest the following safety tips:

Do not walk alone, walk in well-lit areas, be aware of your surroundings and, where possible, walk in well-traveled areas.

Those who are concerned about walking at night on campus are encouraged to call for escorts, which are provided through the WSU Police Department.

Don’t Be Afraid To Use Stun Guns

October 25, 2008

stun_gun_250x2511.jpgStun guns operate on a high voltage low amperage charge. When a stun guns is discharged into a body it acts to overload the nervous system with excessive electricity traveling through the nerves and muscles. In general the brain has trouble deciphering the messages being sent and is unable to clearly communicate with the muscles. This often causes temporary paralysis, or overt fatigue. The charge is considered non-lethal and is not powerful enough to damage the attacker’s body unless applied for an extended period of time.

Stun guns come in several different styles. Some are even disguised as flashlights or cell phones. Typically they run on ordinary 9 volt alkaline batteries. Stun guns come in many different voltages as well. They can range from 100,000 volts to 950,000 or more volts. For an idea of electrical strength an 800,000 volt stun gun might generate 5-8 milliamps depending on the freshness of the battery. In general, the higher the voltage the quicker the effects of the stun gun will be felt. Other factors such as the size of the attacker, the amperage of the stun gun, and how long it is held on the attacker can figure into how quickly a stun gun can disable a person. Half a second should startle an attacker while one or two seconds should daze him and induce muscle spasms. Three seconds should make an attacker unbalanced with loss of muscle control.

Stun guns can be fired multiple times if the batteries are fresh. This gives protection against more than one attacker. Stun guns should be considered as a good source of personal protection.

Feeling unsafe is no way to go about living your life. Fortunately, there are many solutions to give you peace of mind while walking through uncharted territories or for safeguarding your home and family. To stay safe on the streets, we offer an incredible array of self-defense products   to stun guns and pepper spray.

Basic Safety Products

19taser600_12.jpgOne popular Basic safety products used by many college students is a dual function door brace. A dual function door brace will enhance the current lock on your dorm or apartment door. Once you and your roommates are in for the night, you can place the dual function door brace against the door, and it will provide added protection against a potential intruder. These products are collapsible, so you can easily take them with you when you travel. A dual function door brace can be used on both hinged and sliding doors. They are made out of strong, 20-guage steel to add protection. When you are ready to go out in the morning, simply remove the brace, store it, and open the door.

Another essential college Basic safety products that all college students, particularly women, should have is Mace pepper spray. Pepper spray is a product that you carry with you in your purse, pocket, or on your key ring. If you are attacked, all you have to do is spray the pepper spray into the eyes of your attacker. It will cause the attacker’s eyes to slam shut and begin watering profusely. Pepper spray is amazingly irritating, and it typically causes the attacker to become disoriented long enough for you to escape.

If you do not want to carry a large pepper spray container with you to and from school, consider buying a lipstick pepper spray container. These containers look just like a lipstick tube, but they actually contain pepper spray. You can put them in your purse and have them on hand any time you need some extra protection. If you are afraid that you will forget to carry it or will not be able to reach it during an attack, consider purchasing a pepper spray ring, which you can always wear to be safe in the event of an attack.

If you are concerned that someone near you, like a roommate, is taking your things or putting you in a dangerous situation, consider investing in wireless cameras. Wireless cameras are tiny and can be placed inside everyday objects. You have likely seen these cameras in teddy bears that are used to watch nannies while parents are at work. You can use these wireless cameras to keep tabs on the people who live in your room or apartment. They connect to your computer so you can review the video at your convenience. If you live in an apartment, you can also install outdoor wireless cameras near your front door. This will allow you to see anyone who wants to enter your home before you let them in. you and your roommates can screen the people who want to visit and avoid any dangerous situations.

Remember, whenever you leave your dorm or apartment, always lock the doors. Do not carry large quantities of money in your wallet. If you must carry a lot of cash, put it in a concealed pocket. Always look up when walking on campus, so if you are attacked, you will know what your attacker looks like. These tips will help keep you as safe as possible while you are pursuing your degree.

Buy your Dual Function Door Brace, or one of our College Safety Starter Packs to keep you safe.

For when you need to walk around campus don’t forget your Mace Pepper Spray.

Ways To Protect Against Rape

Author: admin
October 23, 2008

abro-art-pakistani-women.jpgOf all the things that women have to protect themselves against, rape seems to top the list for almost every woman. Rape is not just a physical assault, not even simply a sex crime as most people seem to think, but is a heinous act of violence that often leaves emotional scars that are very difficult to get rid of. Most victims of rape find it difficult to have normal sexual relationships with others, and often find themselves unable to trust people.

Ways To Protect Yourself From Rape

1. Be Armed: By being armed we do not mean carry a gun or a pistol on you, but instead other Self Defense Weapons and products that can be as effective as a gun but less deadly. Mace pepper spray, Stun guns, TaserC2, personal Alarms can protect you from a potential rapist. These safety products are much easier to procure than a weapon and can be equally handy. In situations where you are under the threat of rape, you might find yourself in shock or without proper hand eye coordination. In such situations, a can of pepper foam or mace may in fact be more useful than a regular gun.

In addition to being very effective, Basic safety products are quite cheap too. They are designed in a manner (you can even get lipstick pepper sprays that look like a lipstick!) so as to fit even the smallest of purses, so that you can always have something handy with which to protect yourself. A great place to get the lipstick pepper spray, as well as numerous other products and devices for self protection,

2. Be Cautious when Outdoors: When you are away from home, it is important to be aware of what is going on around you and be alert. Here are some tactics to use when outdoors:

• Rapists generally tend to attack women who appear to be walking along aimlessly or who do not seem very active. Thus, by being confident and walking erect and purposefully, you can deter a rapist.

• If you are walking on the streets, make sure to stay away from narrow alleys or dark streets. Never ever take a shortcut through a rough neighborhood or through deserted paths and always stay on the main street.

• Do not walk by yourself after dark. Take a cab home or ask a friend to pick you up. If you must walk, make sure you walk quickly and take a route that is not deserted. Keeping your can of mace or pepper spray in your hand is also a good idea.

• Do not get into an elevator alone with someone you do not know. If you do find yourself alone with the stranger, stay near the exit doors of the elevator and within reach of the control panel.

• Always know exactly where you are. In case you do find yourself in trouble and have to call someone for help, you need to know your exact location. A 911 dispatcher will also ask you your location first, so know which area and street you are on.

• A large number of women get attacked when getting into their cars. Thus, approach your vehicle with your key already in your hand so that you do not waste time fumbling for the key. Get into your car as soon as you open it and drive away.

3. Safety at Home: The number of women who get raped in their homes is shocking! Thus, here’s what you can do to safeguard yourself when home:

• The area outside your main entrance should be lit properly so that there are no dark shadows where a potential rapist can hide.

• Ensure that your main door has a peephole so that you know who you are opening your door to. If a stranger is at your door, enquire why they are there and open the door only if you are completely satisfied with their answer.

• Keep your curtains drawn as far as possible so that people cannot look into your home, especially after nightfall.

• If you are not expecting any deliveries or any utility service people, do not open the door to such people. If you must, ensure that the safety chain is in place.

• Always keep your doors locked. Even if you live in an extremely safe neighborhood, you should never leave your gates unlocked even for a few minutes. Many women make the mistake of thinking that a rapist would never dare to enter their home because their area is so well guarded. That could turn out to be a costly mistake. Thus, keep your doors and windows bolted.

4. At a Party: There is an alarming increase in the number of date rapes and sexual assaults at social gatherings. To protect yourself when on a date, make sure you do not accept drinks from anyone you don’t know. Even if you do know the person, it is best to get your own drink or have the bartender or waiter serve you directly. If you have left your drink unattended for even half a minute, do not take a sip from that drink again.

Date rape drugs can be mixed into drinks in the blink of an eye and make you the target for date rape. Thus, by being alert to what’s happening around you and being extremely cautious about what you eat and drink, you can avoid becoming a victim of date rape.

Even though these safety tips may not entirely protect you against rape, at least you will have minimized your chances of becoming a rape victim greatly. Taking some physical defense classes and always carrying safety products such as pepper foam, knives, mace cans etc is the best way to protect yourself from rape. After all, you have to take matters into your own hands. If you wait for someone to help you, it could turn out to be too late!
